Vaterland Uber Alles!!
Hi Hi! Well, in the wake of the EQ guild thingie, I've been taking a break from the game, and trying a different game. I've been playing World War II: Online, for the last couple of nights, and it's a refreshing change. The game is very scary, and realistic, it feels like being in the middle of a real war. (which actually kind of sucks, to be pinned down for hours in a burned out house, etc) I have no plans to abandon EQ, but a much needed vacation is nice, until I feel ready to start playing again. Can you guess which side of the conflict I fight for? : ) Otherwise, not much else has been going on. There's plenty of work lately, which is good. I've been working on a video about an unmanned experimental helicopter, and just burning more CDs in the meantime. Good stuff, that pays all right. Lots of work to do is always good. I think tonight I'll head out to the club. I need to get a haircut first though, and I don't have a thing to wear. I need to figure something out! Help! Anyway, I should keep this short. Many things need to get done, if I'm to have fun tonight..
it ends..
Wel, it's 4 am. The deed is done. The Guild no longer exists. I weep. I don't care what you think. Anything someone poured their heart into for several years and loved, deserves tears.I feel wretched.

Two muffins are sitting in an oven. One muffin turns to the other and declares, "Boy, it's getting hot in here!"To which the other muffin replies, "Holy Shit, a talking muffin!"

Busy, Busy Battie
Hello,There is so much going on in the last few days, and some sadness. I will recap:Work:Thursday and Friday were very busy workie days. On Thursday, I dumped about 3 hours worth of VHS tape onto DV tape, and helped work on graphics for another project involving police-seized computer assets. I also got assigned a project where Friday I would be driven out to an old Admiral's house, and taping an interview with him. A bit of a morbid concept, considering he is very old, and his health is failing. Unfortunately, that project fell through, so Friday I burned about 60 "Corporate Creative Services" demo CDs ("Look Good...Look Smart" is our motto). Then, I helped burn an additional 60 "Securing the Homeland" informational CDs for our corporation. While I was working on that, I finished doing the last three hours of the VHS/DV tape dump. (six hours of footage of an experimental unmanned helicopter, I think). When all that was done, I had to deliver the Homeland CDs to another one of our offices in McLean.Club:Due to online events I will discuss later on in the entry, I ended up going out Thursday night. I was saddened that none of my Live-Journal friends or readers were there. I clung to my friends Erin and Shasta all night, which was very cool, but I missed my "regular" little gang. That made me even more anti-social and shy than normal. So I just sort of glared at other people all night. I didn't look bad, though. The following is a verbose description of what I wore. (feel free to skip):(assume all pieces of clothing were black, unless otherwise noted)Lower Half: Damask pants with a paisley black-on-black pattern. Three inch-thick heeled oxford-style shoes.Upper Half: Dress shirt and braces, silk tie with black-on-black checkered pattern. Silver-spike tie tack. Arm length prom-gloves; fingers removed. Vest and matching blazer, "SS" pin on lapel. Triple-rowed spike bracelet on right wrist. Skull and Crossbones ring.Head: I bent over, so my head was upside down, applied generous amounts of Rewind hair-glue, and aqua-net, flipped my head back over, and presto, nuked hair.Game: It seems that my Everquest guild, after a year of existence, is disbanding. This is epically sad, coming at the height of our power, and our ability to do great things. I won't write a long tirade, or diatribe about my distress over this. But, I am really sad. I know my LJ friends won't understand, maybe I can better express what this means to me, with this link: ( http://pub82.ezboard.com/fgrumbukslairfrm2.showMessage?topicID=235.topic ) It is a message from our leader, and a very good friend of mine. Feel free to keep comments about my EQ-geekdom to yourself, please.I hope my guild mates will continue to visit my journal.Tomorrow:I think I'm supposed to go to the Ren Fair (yet again), with a bunch of friends. It should be nice to get out, and have a day to relax. I feel really spread thin lately. Maybe I'll buy another expensive piece of armor, to cheer myself up.

bleh.
Hmm,So, I didn't go to work today. They didn't really need my help, and I stayed up really late last night. Oh well. I pretty much spent the afternoon goofing around on the net, downloading crap from Kazaa, and playing EQ. Around eight, Colin and I went out to dinner at some little Chinese joint in Manassas, and we stopped by the arcade over at the mall, to see how all the white trash are doing. As I write this, I'm fooling around with Sound Forge 6, and MAME, whilest Colin plays on my old Dreamcast. Does anyone know any good ROMs sites? Not a very remarkable day at all, I'm afraid. I suspect that I will not be needed at work tomorrow, either. Would anyone like to hang out, or do something? I feel very cabin-feverish. Maybe I'll go out to the club again... Colin is not very good at playing Space Channel 5.Edit: Oh yeah, I have to give a shout-out to Viyon. He's a dumb dude.
